Abstract:

Sulfuric acid functionalized magnetic nanocatalyst (SAMNC) has been prepared as an efficientacidic and applied in the one-pot preparation of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4 (1H) -one derivatives. This catalyst has been characterized by FT-IR, SEM, and VSM. According to the obtainedresults, including time, yield and recyclability, SAMNC could be considered as an efficient catalystfor organic transformations.

Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC): An efficient and recyclable solid acid catalyst for one-pot three-component synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones under solvent-free conditions

A simple and efficient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones derivatives under solvent-free conditions. This method uses the condensation of isatoic anhydride, aldehydes, and amines in the presence of a catalytic amount Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC). One of the important advantages of the new method is that the SPC could be recycled and reused.

One-pot synthesis of functionalized thiazolidine-4-ones from thiosemicarbazone derivatives and activated acetylenes in water as a green solvent

Some 2-iminothiazolidin-4-ones have been synthesized by the reaction of dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates with thiosemicarbazones. The reaction was performed in the presence of 10 mol% of triphenylphosphine and tetrabutylammonium bromide as a phase transfer catalyst in water as a green solvent. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by their physical and spectral data.
